BREAD SERIES    2003

The Bread Series was a temporary installation consisting of 7 works utilizing 215 expired loaves of bread from a local supplier as its common denominator. Bread is a fascinating material and food source that transforms through many changes, rising to rotting. The goal of the work was to identify with life cycles and changes while engaging an unusual observing audience- The bird population. Over the duration of the show the bread elements disappeared and changed properties within the work through the actions of the local predators.
